MERCENARY Looking For Extras For Upcoming Video Shoot

Danish metallers MERCENARY have issued a casting call for extras for a music video shoot for the first single off the group's new album, "Architect of Lies". The filming will take place between February 11 and February 18.

MERCENARY guitarist Jakob Molberg recently stated about the group's upcoming CD, "As we went straight into the studio with our masterly producer Jacob Hansen right after the last gig, we couldn't help but to bring along a lot of the immediacy and groove that we love when playing live. The result is in many ways our most spontaneous album ever, but I also believe it's our strongest yet — it's very melodic, catchy, dark and complex (just like any decent metalhead would — or should — want his metal to be.). With bass player / shouter Rene Pedersen recording his first album with us, this album marks the return of some really aggressive vocals — mixed, of course, with Mikkel's soaring clean singing. It's an album that's straight to the point I think, and I can't help but feel we're at the top of our game here. I never had a stronger belief in the potential of this band before."

"Architect Of Lies" will be released late March via Century Media Records.

MERCENARY's "My World Is Ending" clip can be viewed below. The track comes off "The Hours That Remain", which came out last year via Century Media.

"The Hours That Remain" entered the national album chart in Denmark at position No. 67. The follow-up to 2004's "11 Dreams" was produced by Jacob Hansen (RAUNCHY, COMMUNIC, MAROON, HATESPHERE) and features artwork by Travis Smith (DEATH, KATATONIA, OPETH). Guest musicians on the CD include SOILWORK's Björn "Speed" Strid and HEAVEN SHALL BURN's Marcus Bischoff.
